Limitations Of Schools Advisors
Consumer law requires that any trader should sell goods which are of satisfactory quality and are correctly described. They should also carry out work with reasonable care and skill. If they do not, individual customers are entitled to seek financial redress.
Schoolsadvisors builds on these legal requirements and is mainly concerned with the quality of customer service delivered by members and ensuring that members trade legally, honestly and fairly. schoolsadvisors agree to abide by the requirements of our code of practice (available in the related documents section at the bottom of this page).
The checks we carry out on applicants seek to establish that the potential member’s business is properly run and has a good history. We cannot check the quality of work carried out by each member and this cannot be guaranteed by the scheme.
What we do guarantee is that, in the unlikely event that you use schoolsadvisors and things go wrong, trading standards will get involved in your query and seek to resolve it. If the member is at fault, they may be warned about their conduct or removed from the scheme altogether.
